New Fruit and Cucumber Slicers increase productivity in the kitchen
Vollrath, the premier manufacturer of equipment and smallwares, is increasing productivity in the kitchen with the addition of the Redco Fruit Slicer and Redco Cucumber Slicer.
With 28 blades and a one-stroke operation, the Redco Fruit Slicer eliminates 75 percent of the time and cost of cutting fruit by hand and increases productivity in any commercial kitchen. The blades never need adjustment and will not corrode upon usage. The full 5-inch cutting area is optimal for large fruits and provides a consistent cut for an attractive presentation. The Fruit Slicer can be used on a variety of fruits, including pineapple, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon.
Great for salads and sushi bars, the Redco Cucumber Slicer is three times faster than cutting cucumbers by hand. The quick one-stroke system slices cucumbers lengthwise and cores it at the same time. The Cucumber Slicer comes standard with one 14-section core, but is designed to also accommodate a 10-section core.
Both slicers feature easy-to-use blade assemblies that provide for quick and effortless clean-up. The sled-leg aluminum base design and stainless steel rods make the two new slicers light weight and durable with superior resistance to breakage.
Vollrath’s Fruit Slicer and Cucumber Slicer further expand the company’s line of award-winning Redco manual food processors and extensive offering of equipment and smallwares. Vollrath provides a one-source solution for foodservice professionals to run a more flexible, efficient and profitable business.
The new slicers will be on display in the Vollrath booth #4018 at the National Restaurant Association show May 17-20 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.
