Vine Hospitality, the San Francisco Bay Area multi-concept restaurant group behind esteemed restaurants including Left Bank Brasseries, LB Steak, Meso, Petite Left Bank, Rollati, and Camper, announces the appointment
of Alistair Levine as its new chief executive officer. Originally founded by Chef Roland Passot and Restaurateur Ed Levine, the company has earned a reputation for creating vibrant dining destinations tailored to their neighborhoods, offering exceptional culinary experiences inspired by Californian, French, and Mediterranean cuisines.
Levine, son of Vine Hospitality founder Ed Levine, steps into the CEO role with a strong connection to the company and extensive experience across the restaurant and hospitality industries. Having invested in his first restaurant at the age of seven, Levine grew up immersed in the business, learning the dedication and innovation that define Vine Hospitality. With over 10 years of experience, he has gained valuable operational insight, working with independent
restaurant operators and leading international business initiatives that drove growth and market expansion.
Since joining the boards of Vine Hospitality and Vine Solutions in 2017 Levine has gained a unique perspective on the industry from both the restaurant owner and restaurant technology sides. With a passion for creating memorable dining experiences and supporting employees at all levels, he brings a forward-thinking vision to guide Vine Hospitality into its next chapter.
Navigating the challenges left by the pandemic requires a fresh approach to operations and a redefined company vision. As CEO, Levine is committed to refining operational strategies, adjusting the company’s direction, and embracing evolving dining trends. His leadership will ensure Vine Hospitality remains at the forefront of the Bay Area restaurant scene while exploring new opportunities for sustainable growth. Levine aims to preserve the company’s
tradition of excellence by fostering community connections and driving innovation across all aspects of the business to ensure long-term success.
“Vine Hospitality is about more than just food—it’s about fostering connections and building community through both exceptional culinary experiences and outstanding service,” says Levine. “I look forward to strengthening these ties and ensuring our restaurants remain a vibrant part of Northern California’s cultural fabric.”
Vine Hospitality operates a portfolio of restaurants that have become staples in the Bay Area and San Jose dining communities. From French-inspired bistros to contemporary American cuisine, each concept reflects a commitment to quality and innovation. Under Levine’s leadership, the company plans to refresh and refine its offerings to engage a broader audience while continuing to explore new opportunities for expansion.
This leadership transition marks a significant milestone for Vine Hospitality as it continues to build on its legacy while adapting to the changing needs of its guests.
