Vias Imports Debuts “Acinum”- The First Proprietary Wine in the Vias Portfolio

New York City, August 27, 2015 — Vias Imports, Ltd., the leading importer of Italian wine in the U.S. market, proudly announces the debut of Acinum, the first-ever proprietary wine within the Vias portfolio, created by Vias chairman, Fabrizio Pedrolli in collaboration with oenologist Enrico Paternoster. Produced in the Veneto region of Italy, Acinum (translating to “grape” in Latin) offers top-quality bottlings from a region that exemplifies Italian wine excellence at a reasonable price for consumers. To be released nationwide in September 2015, Acinum is available in five 750-ml. offerings: Prosecco Extra Dry DOP ($11), Soave Classico DOP ($11), Valpolicella DOP ($16), Valpolicella Ripasso DOP ($23), and Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG ($55).

Acinum will be released on a limited edition basis only. The restricted production (only 150,000 bottles of each wine) will ensure that each bottle receives the appropriate attention to detail needed to produce exceptional wines that express the authentic heritage of each indigenous grape.

With over forty years in the Italian wine business, Mr. Pedrolli’s extensive experience—founder of the Trentino-Alto Adige chapter of the AIS (Italian Sommelier Association) and first Italian secretary general of the ASI (International Sommelier Association)—provides him with the knowledge to select the highest quality Italian wines for Acinum and the Vias portfolio, and ultimately, for U.S. consumers.

The Vias portfolio comprises a vast collection of over 200 native indigenous varietals that embody the distinct character and terrain of each of Italy’s diverse regions.
