Vegas’s Best Restaurants

Over 40 million people visited Las Vegas last year, which is more than the entire population of Canada. Given that it is one of the most notable locations anywhere in the US and is renowned for hosting the most prominent sporting events, concerts, boxing, and UFC fights, and, of course, is the mecca of American gambling, restaurateurs quickly cottoned onto the fact that there was significant potential to set up shop in Sin City.

Las Vegas has a plethora of eateries. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a fancy, expensive sit-down meal, you won’t be short of options. We consider ourselves somewhat experts on Vegas cuisine, so here are our top restaurants in no particular order.

Restaurant Guy Savoy

The Guy Savoy combines casino gaming with high-class cuisine. In fact, it’s considered by many to be the top-rated casino-based restaurant—situated nicely within the grounds of the world-famous Caesar’s Palace. Social media is awash with satisfied customers giving the restaurant top marks—and as it is an extension of the more famous Paris branch, we’d say it definitely does it justice, but it is on the more expensive side.

Although many casinos will offer some in-house cuisine and restaurants, you’ll struggle to find any on The Strip that aren’t able to do a semi-decent job. Supplementing your casino gaming with a bite or two is part of the Vegas experience for millions of tourists. Whether you’re having a sit-down meal in the hotel or just grabbing a snack you’ll get an authentic taste of what the city is all about.

Some tourists who visit Vegas want to separate their casino gaming from their choice of restaurant. They’ll use the opportunity to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the slot machines or the sea of blackjack and roulette tables—but if you’re looking not to stray too far from the tables, the Guy Savoy could be your best bet. For those who don’t want to spend a minute away from the action, you can also keep using real money at a casino online while you wait for your meal at Guy Savoy, and try to keep your hot streak going. While some tourists might believe that the swanky restaurants of Vegas were relics of a time gone by, there are still plenty of upmarket locations to fill your stomach.

Weera Thai Restaurant

As we discussed in our intro, there are many different types of food places to check out in Vegas, and if you’re looking for vegan or plant-based options, Weera Thai is our pick of the bunch. While it is slightly off the beaten track on West Sahara Avenue—about a 10-minute drive from the Strip—we’d say it’s more than worth the short jaunt, especially if you’re looking for a menu that includes a range of vegan, vegetarian, and meat options.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co

As one of the top-rated American-based Las Vegas eateries on Tripadvisor, Bubba Gump Shrimp has developed a reputation for combining cost-effectiveness with high-quality food. It’s a cheap and quick option if you’re visiting Vegas on a budget—especially if you want to explore how an American diner looks and feels. While you might not see Floyd Mayweather tipping the chefs $300 whenever we walk past Bubba Gump, it’s packed, and that’s always a good sign.

Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse

If you’re wondering where to go for the best steak in town, Vic & Anthony’s is your choice. Last year, it was picked as the Traveller’s Choice on TripAdvisor and has compiled nearly 2,500 reviews. Primal Steakhouse is another establishment to scope out if you’re in the mood for more than one steakhouse during your trip.

Situated Downtown, it’s one of the few places in Vegas that sells Kobe beef. An array of reviews comment on how friendly and knowledgeable the staff is—and considering we’ve been there countless times, we can attest to both of these things!

Ferraro’s Ristorante

Ferraro’s Ristorante is another fine dining establishment to explore. If you’re a fan of Italian cuisine, wine, and top service, Ferraro’s is a must. Despite the fine dining and high food quality, it is much more cost-effective than many other restaurants in the same category. Unlike some of the other restaurants that fall into this category, which are perhaps slightly less authentic (naming no names!), Ferraro’s has a real Italian feel and authentic cuisine and wine.

Summary

We appreciate that Vegas isn’t the type of place you visit for weeks at a time, and it can be challenging to get around to all the restaurants, bars, and events you have lined up, but we’d recommend chalking at least two or three of these restaurants off your list.

We’ve tried to be fair and include a mix of different cuisines and budgets. Still, there are dozens of other places to check out as well—regardless of your dietary habits or the cuisine you most enjoy, there will definitely be a restaurant in Vegas that matches your needs.
