True Food Kitchen has done it again. The national leader in health-driven dining has announced a game-changing milestone, transitioning its kitchens and their entire menu to become 100% seed oil-free. Beginning in February, across all 46 locations in 18 states, the brand exclusively uses heart-healthy avocado and olive oils, eliminating industrial seed oils from every ingredient of its 100+ menu items. This multi-year shift reinforces True Food Kitchen’s position as an industry trailblazer, setting a new standard for conscious ingredient sourcing and bold, vibrant flavor.
“This isn’t just a trend or a tagline—this is who we are,” said Matthew Padilla, Head of Culinary at True Food Kitchen. “Most people don’t realize how pervasive seed oils are in everyday ingredients and eliminating them meant reevaluating hundreds of items across our kitchens. It was a massive undertaking, but it was worth every step to deliver cleaner, better meals to our guests. We’re proud to lead the charge and redefine what health-focused dining at scale looks like.”
The move to eliminate seed oils has been years in the making. In 2022, True Food Kitchen committed to cooking with only avocado and olive oils, and shortly thereafter eliminated seed oils from 98% of its menu. Now, it has reached the finish line, becoming one of the first national restaurant brands to go entirely seed oil-free. Through rigorous sourcing and collaboration with culinary innovators, True Food Kitchen has proven that great taste and uncompromising quality can go hand in hand.
“By eliminating seed oils entirely, we’re staying True to principles that have guided us for decades,” said Daniella Voysey Olson, Chief Growth Officer. “True Food Kitchen has always led with thoughtful ingredient choices, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this brand as we continue to create experiences where guests can have an amazing meal without compromising their health and wellness goals.”
True Food Kitchen has redefined health-conscious dining since its Phoenix launch in 2008. With 46 locations nationwide, the restaurant and lifestyle brand continues to inspire its guests with seasonal, thoughtfully crafted dishes made with minimally processed ingredients. True Food Kitchen’s mission is simple, yet profound: Real Food For Real Life – meeting guests where they are and inspiring guests to eat more real food.
