Trader Vic’s today named Rhett Rosen as Chief Executive Officer of the iconic restaurant group. In his new role, Rosen will be responsible for all strategic development, brand innovation and leadership initiatives for the famed tiki brand’s expanding portfolio. Rosen will also oversee the continued growth of Trader Vic’s Mexican inspired brand, Señor Pico, with the new location set to open in Dubai later this year.
“We are excited that Rhett has agreed to lead Trader Vic’s international portfolio, and are confident that his industry knowledge, strong leadership skills and extensive hospitality experience will usher in a new chapter for the brand,” said Charles C. McGettigan, Chairman. “Rhett’s deep understanding of two strategically important areas — brand identity and global market potential — makes him an ideal choice to drive innovation for the iconic 85-year old brand.”
Rosen brings to his new role significant industry leadership experience within the beverage and hospitality industries. Prior to accepting the role of CEO, Rosen was the executive vice president and chief operating officer for Trader Vic’s, where he worked to shape and enforce organization policies, standards and budgets for the company worldwide as well as analyzed future and current business opportunities by way of location scouting and selection for new operations.
“As one of the most experiential restaurant groups, I am excited to build on the legacy represented by Trader Vic’s brands, said Rhett Rosen, CEO Trader Vic’s Worldwide. “We have continued to drive significant international growth and when you consider the 85-year empire of Trader Vic’s, the Mai-Tai and Señor Pico, this is just the beginning.”
Prior to Trader Vic’s Worldwide, Rosen served with VEEV Spirits in Beverly Hills where he began in 2013 as the Sales Operation and Business Development Manager. He moved on to become the Director of Sales Operations in 2015.
Born in Florida, Rosen is a graduate of the University of Central Florida where he earned his degree in Marketing and Business Administration. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center.
