Created as a low-calorie dessert by Michèle at her tea salon ‘Thè Cool’ in Paris, the cake was first offered to Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the French first lady, as a sweet treat to enjoy without any guilt. Instantly falling in love, the ‘Starlette Cake’ was born! Now, over 20 years later, and helping Parisians to stay in shape, the world famous cake is hitting the palettes of Angelenos. Available at ‘Pure by Michèle La Porta’: a fast-casual dining concept offering healthy, fresh, locally-sourced food and juices. The low-calorie dessert is available in both sweet and savory flavors:
