* Lucy MacMillan Stitzer is currently the founder and author of Dirt to Dinner, a consumer focused food blog offering a strong voice on the modern agricultural system. The site is committed to helping readers learn more about where and who their food comes from, as well as addresses the global food chain and issues of sustainable agriculture and nutrition. Content ranges from articles on food trade and public policy, to genetic engineering, animal antibiotics, the effects of wildfires on agriculture, and most recently, the legalization of hemp.
* Stitzer’s career began in banking, originally at Citibank, Sandler O’Neill, and AmeriBank and later spent 18 years as a member of Cargill’s Incorporated’s Board guiding development of the company’s strategic intent and leading efforts to advance the company’s diversity and opportunities for women. Since 2011, Stitzer has been Chairman of Waycrosse, Incorporated, the family office of the Cargill and MacMillan families, and also serves on the board of Hamlin Capital Management and as Chair/Owner of Rush Creek Golf Course.
Carlton McCoy Jr., MS, President & CEO, Heitz Cellar
* Earlier this year, Master Sommelier, Carlton McCory was named President & CEO at Heitz Cellar, one of Napa Valley’s most prominent wine makers. He joined the wine cellar after spending 9 years at The Little Nell in Aspen, CO, where he was quickly promoted to Wine Director in 2013, overseeing a staff of 150 and The Little Nell’s acclaimed 20,000-bottle wine cellar.
* McCoy started his career at the Culinary Institute of America, where he discovered that wine and service were his true passion. He then went on to hone his skills at several of the country’s most revered institutions including Thomas Keller’s Per Se, Marcus Samuelsson’s Aquavit, Tom Colicchio’s Craft Steak in New York and Eric Zeibold’s CityZen at The Mandarin Oriental in Washington, DC.
