Heather Winslett Named Director of Operations; Brings 20+ Years of Industry Experience to the Table
Teriyaki Madness, a fast casual Asian restaurant concept that offers delicious teriyaki dishes prepared with fresh ingredients, announced today the addition of Heather Winslett as the company’s Director of Operations.
With more than 20 years of fast food and QSR operations management experience, including eight years in multi-unit operations leadership, Winslett brings extensive knowledge and expertise to the corporate support staff at Teriyaki Madness. Winslett’s previous experience comes from employment at many big name restaurant brands such as McDonald’s, Chipotle, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Arby’s and most recently, Jamba Juice. With an understanding of franchise business model operations, coupled with extensive experience in sales, marketing and relationship building, Winslett adds depth to the already experienced corporate team.
At Teriyaki Madness, Winslett’s responsibilities will be concentrated on building relationships with franchisees in order to help grow their business and increase profitability through proper hiring and store performance along with enforcing brand quality standards. As the Director of Operations, Winslett will oversee the progression into new, emerging markets, new store development and training. Joining the brand during an explosive growth period, Winslett aims to increase system wide revenues to $80 million with 100 stores generating an average unit volume of $800,000 by 2017.
“Teriyaki Madness has a stable, highly developed infrastructure which is focused on growth and innovation and the company is filled with intelligent and passionate people who truly believe in this concept,” said Winslett. “Knowing that the company encompasses these qualities, I knew I had to be a part of this team. The brand is fresh, fulfilling and fits your lifestyle and there’s a tremendous amount of potential for Teriyaki Madness.”
Winslett joins the Asian food franchise during a time when they are quickly winning over the hearts and stomachs of teriyaki fans in Las Vegas, Texas, Arkansas, Colorado and California. Teriyaki Madness has gained recognition for offering delicious, made to order teriyaki dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and protein packed portions that are served quickly, at a reasonable price, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
“We’re thrilled that Heather is joining our team, and we know her industry expertise and goals for success fit in perfectly with our brand,” said Rod Arreola, CEO of Teriyaki Madness. “With her leadership and understanding of how to successfully operate and grow franchise brands, we know the sky is the limit for Teriyaki Madness,”
The QSR franchise is in the midst of a growth spurt that includes the four recent openings in Colorado, Arkansas and California. In addition, there are agreements for more than 20 new locations in California and several more units to open in Colorado and Texas alone. Since partnering last year with Franchise Sherpas, a franchise incubator and development company, the fresh Asian grill franchise is on pace to open a projected 100 new locations across the United States by 2016.
