For over a decade, locals and visitors enjoyed margaritas, brunch, and outstanding Mexican cuisine at Tacos & Tequila on the Strip. The restaurant and cantina have returned to Palace Station, taking over a 4,000-square-foot space.
“We are thrilled to bring the new Tacos & Tequila to life as part of all the exciting new dining destinations at Palace Station,” said Michael Frey, co-founder of Drive This! Entertainment, the company behind T&T, along with Craig Gilbert. “We serve great Mexican food and cocktails and an even better time, and look forward to welcoming back our regulars, both locals and visitors, to the new T&T.”
Tacos & Tequila has recreated its fun, lively atmosphere and flavorful dishes that combine traditional and modern Mexican cuisine.
Executive Chef Casey Houghton, a 10-year Tacos & Tequila veteran, created its crafted dishes. The award-winning #1 Alambre taco, voted the best taco in Vegas, is made with filet mignon, applewood smoked bacon, Oaxaca cheese, poblano chili, onion, and cilantro served on a flour tortilla. Other favorites include the shrimp quesadilla made with grilled shrimp, black beans, pico de gallo, Oaxaca cheese, chipotle chicken quesadilla, crema fresca, and avocado in a flour tortilla. The beef barbacoa combines slow-roasted brisket, roasted Guajillo-tomato sauce, gouda, Oaxaca and jack cheese, pickled onion, and sour cream made with corn tortillas. Other menu items feature Fajitas Skillet with grilled marinated bell peppers, onions, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream, served with a choice of corn or flour tortillas. The menu also offers vegan and gluten-free selections.
Also known for its margaritas includes the T&T top shelf, made with pineapple chipotle, strawberry agave, and pomegranate acai. More than 100 tequilas from Don Julio, Milagro, El Jimador, Clase Azul, Casa Dragones, Tears of Llorona, and Patron are also featured. A tasty dessert drink includes Chocolate Thunder, a sinful elixir of Los Magos Sotol, OM Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt, cold brew concentrate, vanilla coffee creamer, and cacao nibs.
Brunch specials include Mexican-inspired favorites, including chilaquiles made with chicken and topped with panela cheese, crema fresca, onion, pico de gallo, and shredded lettuce, served on crispy tortillas with a choice of red or green sauce. Huevos rancheros are made with two eggs cooked in any style on black bean purée and topped with panela cheese, crema fresca, and ranchero sauce served on a corn tortilla for a delightful breakfast. Guests who prefer sweeter options can savor French toast topped with sliced bananas, crispy bacon, and Mexican caramel sauce.
Guests can pair their meal with a pitcher of house margaritas or sangria. Additional beverage choices include micheladas made with a selection of beer mixed with Clamato juice, freshly squeezed lime juice, Tajín, Tabasco, and black pepper. The a La Paloma features Cazadores Reposado Tequila, fresh orange, grapefruit, and lime juice with a pinch of salt. Tasty dessert Chocolate Thunder blends Los Magos Sotol, OM Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt, cold brew concentrate, vanilla coffee creamer, and cacao nibs.
Its interior celebrates Mexican culture with vibrant design and oversized photographs of Mexico City covering the dining room walls. HDTVs throughout the restaurant and cantina offer sports viewing.
