Sweety Ice Cream, the second-generation mom-and-pop Asian treat company using beloved family recipes since 1978, announces the appointment of Colleen Wilson to the role of Head of Sales. Wilson joins Sweety Ice Cream’s leadership team as the brand plans for Asian treat innovation in the frozen aisle in 2025. In her role, Wilson will lead the sales team to spearhead growth initiatives across key sales channels, bringing the joy of bouncy frozen treats to consumers across the US.
“We’ve only just begun to scratch the surface, and the journey ahead is incredibly exciting. Sweety has a unique perspective and value proposition as the only nationally distributed AAPI-owned mochi ice cream brand on the market making true, bouncy, and chewy mochi with family recipes. As we strategize, we are concentrating on natural and specialty channels, where consumers appreciate the quality and authenticity that Sweety’s mochi offers.” – Colleen Wilson
Wilson brings a unique perspective with a tailored approach to the role that focuses on strategies for steady and sustainable growth. She joins Sweety from NICK’s Ice Cream, where she served as the Senior Sales Director, leading the Midwestern and Western sales regions. During her two years with NICK’S, she played a key role in establishing the Swedish brand in the U.S. and driving its national expansion.
With nearly 15 years of sales experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Wilson’s approach starts with optimizing sales organization across teams and aligning sales goals cross-functionally with Sweety’s mission to satisfy sweet tooths through high-quality, Asian-inspired treats that are as convenient as they are delightful. She first established her passion for the startup CPG environment working on the sales team at Siggi’s Yogurt, finding that brands dedicated to sharing their heritage offer a chance to amplify customer experience and education. After Siggi’s, Wilson continued her journey on the sales teams at This Little Goat and NICK’s. In her role at Sweety Ice Cream, Wilson will report directly to CEO Stacey Lee.
Wilson joins the Sweety Ice Cream team on the heels of the company’s rebrand this spring, dedicated to ushering in the future of Sweety Ice Cream by communicating the exuberance of mochi ice cream. Wilson’s appointment will further accelerate the team’s growth and mission of bringing the joy of mochi ice cream to folks across the U.S. in the months and years to come.
