Summer Fridays
happy hour 2PM – 7PM Every Friday of Summer 2015
Memorial Day weekend has finally passed – which means for a lot of us it’s the start of Summer, or more importantly, Summer Fridays!! For those who are staying in the city on Fridays, the NIEUW Group’s Proper West and Manhattan Proper are offering a Summer Fridays Happy Hour Series beginning this Friday, May 22nd and continuing weekly throughout the summer from 2:00PM-7:00PM. Both venues will be offering $5 select drafts, $6 wines, and $7 wells to kick off each weekend! Please let me know if you are able to include Proper West and Manhattan Proper’s Summer Fridays Happy Hour Series in an upcoming story or round-up. I’ve included additional information below and a flyer attached.
Manhattan Proper: 6 Murray Street (between Church and Broadway)
Straddling the line between Tribeca and the Financial District, this American gastropub is tucked away on 6 Murray Street. The Bar & Social Club provides guests with a comfortable spot at the bar or in the dining room to watch their favorite team on six, eighty inch LED TV’s mounted on a white-washed brick wall. With fourteen tables and fifty seats, Manhattan Proper comfortably allows all guests to socialize while enjoying the Proper food and beverage program by Corporate Executive Chef Sean De La Rosa. Appealing to a young professional crowd, the servers and bartenders operate everything through ipads and iphones for accelerated service and sleek modernized technology. However the antiquated chandeliers and orbital LED lighting provides a rustic twist, giving guests a relaxed feel as they wind down from their work days.
Proper West: 54 W 39th Street (between 5th/6th Avenues)
This bi-level upscale restaurant and social club serves as the perfect hotspot for New Yorkers who not only want to watch games, but also embrace a sophisticated ambiance with delectable food and curated cocktails. Encased with multiple flat screen TV’s, and comfortable lounge seating in an open industrial-chic layout, the space plays host a trendy, young professional crowd in Midtown. Proper West’s 5,000 square foot venue includes an oversized ground-level dining room with loft-high ceilings and an exclusive mezzanine level overlooking a fashion-forward crowd below. Stylish artwork and photographs adorn the walls, giving a trendy twist to this unique sports bar. The new American menu showcases European influences from Executive Chef Sean De La Rosa who’s Mediterranean Sea Bass and Tempura Flowers are not to be missed this spring. Perfect for sports viewing, happy hours, brunch or even late night dancing, Proper West’s versatile concept is the place to see and be seen this season.
