Summer Cocktail Recipes

Summertime is perfect for cooling down with a refreshing drink in-hand, and Mohegan Sun’s restaurants on-property have crafted a variety of delicious cocktails that suit everyone’s taste. Tequila and cocktail lovers alike can keep it classic with a well-made Paloma at SolToro Tequila Grill or mix things up with BALLO’s Donatella which incorporates some bubbly for a sparkling twist on your sip. And when in doubt, one can never go wrong with the Blue Rita from Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville!
The Paloma from SolToro Tequila Grill:
- 2 oz. silver tequila
- 2 oz. freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- 2 oz. soda
- Splash of agave syrup
- Lime wedge
Directions: Combine tequila, grapefruit juice and agave syrup into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour over ice, top with soda and garnish with lime wedge.
The Donatella from BALLO:
- 1 oz. Don Julio Reposado
- 1.5 oz. Prosecco
- 1.5 oz. blood orange juice
- .5 oz. Powell & Mahoney Sour
Directions: Combine tequila, blood orange juice and sour mix into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour over ice, top with Prosecco.
The Blue Rita from Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville:
- 1.5 oz. Margaritaville Silver Tequila
- .75 oz. Bols Blue Curacao Liqueur
- 3.5 Lemon-X Margarita Mix
Directions: Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and pour over ice.
