Luxury resort celebrates five years of dishing out playful,
sophisticated food and beverage concepts with a twist
Grace Bay Club, a pioneer in Caribbean food and beverage, recently unveiled the concept for its 5th annual beachfront pop-up restaurant with the revival of its very first endeavor, Stix on Grace Bay. Located directly on award-winning Grace Bay Beach, Stix’s unique backdrop embraces the resort’s motto of understated luxury. The relaxed restaurant features toes-in-the sand dining on a range of gourmet dishes served on sticks and skewers with a list of delectable rosé wines.
“Stix is an old-school favorite among our guests and we’re excited for this popular concept’s triumphant return,” said Nikheel Advani, Chief Operating Officer and Principal of Grace Bay Resorts. “We’ve brought back all of the Stix classics, but also tapped into our creative side to introduce new, distinctive dishes for version 2.0.”
Guests of Stix can delight in local cuisine complemented by a variety of rosé wines and creative cocktails. Menu highlights include Tiger Prawn Cocktail with Tangy Citrus Aioli and Chili Garlic Crumbs, Melon & Baby Bocconcini Skewers with Lemon Oil and Jalapeno Agave Vinaigrette, Almond Crusted Lion Fish with Roasted Tomato Sauce and Crispy Zucchini, and Jerk Roasted Corn on the Cob with Grace Bay Coconut. Guests with a sweet tooth can enjoy Roasted Local Banana Cream Puffs, a Tropical Fruit Popsicle with Black Rock Salt, New York Cheesecake with an Almond Coconut Crunch or a Chocolate Peanut Butter Blondie with Candied Peanut Crumbs.
For the food-focused traveler, there is no better place to visit in Turks and Caicos than Grace Bay Club’s beachfront pop-up restaurant, which has been a feast for the senses since the program first launched in 2012. From the taste and aroma of exquisite Caribbean cuisine and fine wine, to the stellar views and warm ocean breezes, the seaside restaurant showcases the resort’s gastronomic experimentation. Changing annually, forward-thinking experiences have included Jars, serving dishes in various shaped jars; Biere et Boules, featuring globally inspired meat balls; and Kone, offering playful bites in cones.
Guests can converge at the restaurant’s 30-foot-long communal tables while taking in the splendor of the surrounding blue seas. Characteristic of Caribbean style, the restaurant’s bar is located under a palm-tree-thatched hut, while the lounge area features oversized cushions and stools in a mix of blue and white that provide unobstructed views of the ocean. The setting captures the joyful spirit of a day at the beach elevated by a menu serving seafood straight from the surf.
Stix is open daily from 11:00a.m. to sunset through November 2017.
