Station1640 Marks Resurgence of Celebrated Hollywood Nightlife Venue with Artist Mural Installation Takeover Featuring works by RETNA, Slick, WRDSMTH, Sebastien Walker, RISK, Sponto, Jim Evans aka. Taz, and more.
In the heart of the ever-growing Cahuenga corridor sits premier cultural nightclub and Hollywood staple, Station1640. Managed by Danny Bitar & Chad Hanna of Worldwide Events, Inc., Station1640 will mark a complete overhaul of the venue with an all-encompassing artistic take-over by Los Angeles’ most epic graffiti artists who will be installing murals throughout the venue. Eddie Donaldson, a prominent figure in the Los Angeles graffiti community and founder of GuerillaOne was enlisted to commission a top-tier roster of world-renowned artists including RETNA, Slick, WRDSMTH, Sebastien Walker of Seventh Letter, RISK, Sponto founder of BornxRaised, Jim Evans aka Taz, with more to come. The entire installation will culminate with a grand opening to celebrate Station1640’s new chapter taking place January 2018.
The theme and decor of Station1640 is inspired by the underground subways of New York City. As the celebrated nightlife staple hurls into a new era, the venue is looking to bridge art, music, and nightlife in a new way. Kicking off the installation is well known contemporary and graffiti artist RETNA who will be canvassing the entire exterior with his distinctive constructed script which can be seen throughout the streets of Los Angeles. Over the next 6 weeks, the roster of world-renowned artists will begin their mural take-over of the space. Patrons will be invited inside to see the ‘making of’ these masterpieces with live installation events, some of which will also be streamed by CosmicLA.com starting on December 9th. To round out the new additions, Station1640 will boast a new Mediterranean menu early next year featuring a delicious selection of bites and cocktails for guests.Station1640 is managed by Worldwide Events, Inc., a special events company comprised of a unique management team with over 20 years expertise ranging from event planning, booking talent, sponsorship activation, and promotions of multi-platinum award winning artists and DJs to venues around the world. Known for their Sound of the Underground Electronic Music Scene, located in the heart of Hollywood. The event space resides on Cahuenga Boulevard, which has been a home for many profound DJS & Brands such as: Clinic Wednesdays, Carl Craig, Carl Cox, Audio Fly, Autograf, Oona Dahl, and soon will be welcoming many more under the EDM genre. The venue is surrounded by iconic history mixed with the contemporary glamour of the neighborhood’s newest moneyed residents including DREAM hotel, TAO Group, and a fashionable crop of new developments.
