The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, a AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five-Star resort, today announced the appointment of Conrado Tromp as Executive Chef. Tromp will oversee all culinary operations including the luxury resort’s four distinct dining concepts, including Atlantikós, The Grill, The St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge, and La Gourmandise. The Dutch chef brings more than 23 years of industry experience with him to The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort.

Chef Tromp joins The St. Regis Bal Harbour from The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka, Japan, where he oversaw seven culinary operations including La Baie, a French concept awarded a highly coveted Michelin star in 2018. Other restaurants under Tromp’s helm at the Ritz-Carlton, Osaka included Italian-inspired Splendido, Japanese multi-concept Hanagatami, and traditional Cantonese dining at Xiang Tao.
Chef Tromp’s prior experience includes executive chef roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu, China, Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait, and The Nam Hai, Hoi An, Vietnam. Chef Tromp also held a number of culinary roles with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in Hong Kong, the Maldives, Germany, and the Middle East, and previous experience at top restaurants in France and the Netherlands.
In addition to the resort’s four dining venues, Tromp will oversee banquet and catering, creating custom menus for the resort’s lavish weddings and exquisite social gatherings.
