Squid Ink Manufacturing, Inc., a leading manufacturer of superior quality inks and ink jet printing equipment, today introduces the new PZ Pilot Touch hi-resolution ink jet printing system. The PZ Pilot Touch is a feature rich new solution for printing high quality marks on a variety of products.
The PZ Pilot Touch is available as either an oil-based system for printing on porous surfaces like corrugated cases, or as a solvent-based system for printing on non-porous products like plastics, PET bottles, PVC pipe, metals and foils, blister packs, coated corrugate or more. The PZ Pilot Touch also has the ability to run pigmented inks, ideal for PVC applications.
The PZ Pilot Touch utilizes industry proven piezo printhead technology to print up to four lines of text at 135 ft/min. Users have the option to run up to two .7″ printheads from a single 12.1” touchscreen controller to print on two sides of a product, and the ability to network up to 10 printers utilizing Squid Ink’s ImageMaster Net software.
The Pilot Touch printheads small footprint allows users to add the system to areas on the line where most printing equipment can’t fit. The result is a system that produces razor-sharp text, scannable bar codes, and the cleanest logos and graphics of any industrial ink-jet printing system on the market.
The PZ Pilot Touch is engineered inside and out for industrial strength operation. Heavy-duty cabinetry and printhead bracketry ensure continuous operation in the most abusive industrial environments. In addition, the PZ Pilot Touch was designed as a modular system. Quick and easy-to-install replacement printheads, circuit boards and ink system modules minimize downtime and eliminate service calls. A fix can be completed in less than 5 minutes.
