Chicagoland’s 3rd bakery café is part of 18-store deal with Rouse Properties
You immediately recognize the mouthwatering smell. You cherish the childhood memories of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven. And the taste. Oh, that spellbinding taste…
Chicagoland’s newest Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip now beckons from Springhill Mall in West Dundee. The popular bakery café began serving up freshly baked cookies, premium Milano coffee, savory crepes, ice cream and a wide array of delectable treats today in the mall’s center court, next to the fountains. It is the third of 18 new cafés set to open under a long-term master lease agreement signed in October 2013 with Rouse Properties, Inc. (NYSE: RSE), a national owner and operator of regional enclosed malls.
Local franchisee Hitesh Amin is welcoming his first customers to the café with 99-cent cookies (limit four) and 99-cent small cups of premium coffee.
“As cold as it’s been this winter, it’s hard to beat a Nestlé Toll House cookie fresh out of the oven, along with a delicious Milano coffee,” said Amin. “Needless to say, we expect to be a very popular addition to the Springhill Mall. We want the shoppers here to see us as a place to escape from the hustle and bustle, and relax with a indulgent treat and a cup of fresh, premium coffee.”
The Springhill Mall café is just the third in the country to feature Nestle Toll House Café’s enhanced kiosk concept, including comfortable seating, digital menus displayed on eight LED screens and an upgraded design that showcases the brand’s distinctive product offerings in a more efficient and attractive manner. Bar seating is available around the sides of the kiosk in addition to tables and soft seating in the adjacent area.
“We’re very pleased to bring our bakery café to West Dundee and the Springhill Mall through our nationwide alliance with Rouse Properties,” said Shawnon Bellah, Senior Vice President of Global Operations for Nestlé Toll House Cafe. “Our brand is growing rapidly, but strategically, here in the United States as well as in Canada and overseas. Having a partner like Rouse that gives us entrée to the center courts of nearly 20 leading malls is a tremendous asset to our company.”
The premium dessert destination concept is built around the world’s most powerful food brand – Nestlé. Along with its universally loved Nestlé Toll House cookies and cookie cakes, the new café serves brownies, muffins, smoothies, ice creams, Nescafé Milano premium coffee, Panini sandwiches and crepes.
The West Dundee location becomes the third Nestlé Toll House Café in Illinois and the 119th systemwide.
