SONOMA COUNTY’S FLAMINGO RESORT & SPA LAUNCHES NEW WILDBIRD POOLSIDE MENU, SUNDAY DJ SESSIONS, SPA OFFERINGS AND MORE

Built in 1957, the Flamingo Resort & Spa is a legendary oasis in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country that was historically a place to mingle and leave the pressures of everyday life behind while experiencing a different side of California. Over half a century later, under the wings of Pyramid Global Hospitality and Palm House Hospitality, the resort is ushering in a second heyday as it aims to revitalize and elevate the Sonoma County stay experience. The Flamingo Resort & Spa is kicking off summer in style with programming including Sunday Sessions DJ sets, rejuvenating HydraFacials at the Spa, and the launch of the delectable Wildbird poolside menu of refreshing food and drink.

Earlier this month, Lazeaway Club‘s Chef Chris Ricketts kicked off Pride month with the airing of his “Drag Brunch” episode of the Food Network show, Chopped! The episode was filmed earlier this year in New York, and Chef Ricketts competed against three other chefs and restaurateurs from Seattle, Nashville, and Louisville, Kentucky, whose restaurants also host drag brunches. At the Flamingo Resort & Spa, drag brunches are regular programming, and take place every first Sunday of the month, September through May. The upcoming Drag Brunch Spectacular at The Flamingo takes place on Sunday, September 8th and tickets are now on sale.

The iconic central pool at the Flamingo Resort & Spa is where Palm Springs meets Sonoma Wine Country this summer with Sunday Sessions DJ parties.  Every Sunday afternoon, through the end of September, this poolside oasis offers a family-friendly fusion of vibrant beats and laid-back vibes at these signature pool parties featuring renowned DJs like Mark Farina, Avi Snow, Truthlive and more. Tickets are available via Eventbrite and cabanas are available via Resort Pass. Don’t forget to bring your own bathing suit and towel, or they are also available onsite for purchase. Cabanas and day passes to the pool at the Flamingo Resort & Spa are also available daily, Monday through Saturday, via Resort Pass.

And you know summer has officially arrived because the fan-favorite Wildbird poolside menu has just launched!  From now through the end of September, poolside dining and ordering is available everyday, 11:30am to 5pm. The menu features both healthy and hearty options, snacks, and even a kids menu. Some not-to-be-missed options include the Shrimp & Papaya Lettuce Wraps, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and a classic Bloomsdale Spinach Salad with goat cheese, macadamia nuts, strawberries and poppyseed vinaigrette. Desserts, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and frozen drinks are also on the menu.

Home to Sonoma County’s newest country music night, the Flamingo Resort’s on-site music venue, Vintage Space, is proud to announce Space Cowboy! Every first Friday of the month, local country rock musician Dustin Saylor is bringing his home-grown melodies and good vibes to Santa Rosa. Line dancing lessons from Grapevine Dance will start at 7:30pm and the band starts at 8:45pm. The next Space Cowboy takes place on Friday, July 5th. Tickets may be purchased here and VIP tables may be requested in advance here. Throughout the summer, Vintage Space will also host a variety of events to bring the community together including karaoke nights, comedy nights, DJs, queer dance parties, cover bands and much more! Check out the entire lineup here.
