RumChata Foundation & Illinois Restaurant Association Scholarship Program

The RumChata Foundation partnered with the Illinois Restaurant Association Education Foundation to award $16,000 in scholarships to college upperclassmen and women studying the culinary arts.

The six winners received scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $4,000 to help them continue their education and hone their skills as they prepare to graduate to a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry.  Submissions were judged by a panel of restaurant industry professionals and chefs.

Recipients were selected based on their current achievements, goals and exemplifying the RumChata Foundation’s mission of celebrating the passion and drive it takes to create and bring to life an idea that started from one’s imagination and vision.
