Pita Chip, the Modern Middle Eastern quick-serve restaurant located at 1623 Big Oak Road in Yardley’s Oxford Oaks Shopping Center, is celebrating Rosh Hashanah this year in a fun way, offering “Rosh Hashawarma” family meal dinners to guests beginning on Thursday, September 15th, and running through the final night of the Jewish high holiday on Tuesday, September 27th.
Pita Chip Offers Family Meals with Falafel and Shawarma for Rosh Hashanah
Proceeds from Rosh Hashawarma sales will benefit Congregation Kol Emet in Yardley. Dinners cost $57.83 apiece, which represents the new year (5783) on the Jewish calendar, and pre-orders are now being taken on Pita Chip’s website. Rosh Hashanah takes place from sundown on Sunday, September 25th through sundown on Tuesday, September 27th.
The family-style meals, which feed four people, include customer’s choice of proteins, hummus, rice, lettuce, toppings, sauces, pita bread, and raspberry rugelach.
“We opened Pita Chip in Yardley last spring with a very successful benefit for Kol Emet, and their entire congregation has been incredibly supportive ever since, so we decided to give back to them again while making their Jewish new year celebration easier this year,” said Omar Alsaadi, Co-founder of Pita Chip. “We hope those who observe Rosh Hashanah in and around Bucks County consider this option so that they can relax and enjoy time with their families without having to cook throughout the holiday. We also hope that they pre-order in advance, which will help us organize our production.”
While Pita Chip also has locations in University City and at Temple University, the holiday special will only be made available at the Yardley outpost.
