Discover the art of tequila craftsmanship through a sensory journey
Rosewood Mayakoba, continuously recognized as one of Mexico’s best resorts, is inviting guests and visitors to celebrate National Tequila Day on July 24, 2014. Discover the soul of Mexico, learned through all the senses, at the Tequila Herradura Sensory Museum where guests will experience the flavors and aromas of tequila, and learn about the craftsmanship of how the spirit is produced. The private museum tour will include a teaching of tequila’s history from its beginnings until today, followed by a tasting of the different expressions.
The museum tour and tasting is free of cost for Rosewood Mayakoba guests and transportation to and from will be provided. For external guests, the cost is $85, inclusive of the tasting. This special offer has been uniquely crafted to provide guests with an opportunity to learn about and taste the authentic Mexican spirit, which is one of the most famous and celebrated in the world.
For guests that don’t wish to leave the resort, Rosewood Mayakoba’s Agave Azul Sushi & Tequila Bar, which houses more than 100 labels of premium tequila, is the perfect spot to celebrate National Tequila Day with sweeping views of lush mangroves and the Casa del Lago pool. The resort’s resident Tequiliers will host a tasting during which they will share the art of making and appreciating the “drink of the gods,” while guests sample a selection of the finest labels.
The magical history, legacy, and taste of Tequila can also be discovered in the comfort of guests’ very own suite with in-room tequila tastings that are available upon request. For those who wish to simply enjoy the spirit, a bottle of Milagro Select Barrel Reserve is placed in all suites upon guests’ arrival.
