Exhibitor registration for ProWine China 2019, International Trade Fair for Wines and Spirits, is going strong, with impressive international participation. Germany’s Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and the German Wine Institute (DWI) will jointly organize the largest national participation ever at this trade fair. Austria (through Advantage Austria) and Portugal (through Wines of Portugal) will also enlarge the space in their respective country pavilions. The Consorzio Italia del Vino will also participate with numerous estates and companies. Serbia and Bulgaria are among the newcomers to ProWine China, each with its own national stand. The number of Chinese exhibitors is increasing as well with producers from China’s native winegrowing regions represented at the UP-Chinese stand. A large number of renowned individual exhibitors have also signed up, including Les Grands Chais de France (GCF), Dalmacijavino, Duca Di Salaparuta, WSET and COFCO GreatWall. ProWine China will be held from November 12 — 14, 2019 in halls W4 and W5 2019 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).
The registration status for ProWine China 2019 not only indicates a record overall number of exhibitors but shows that the structure of the exhibitors also develops very well. This year’s event caught the attention of the marketing agencies for several important regions. Alongside Chianti Classico and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, two of Italy’s leading winegrowing regions, France’s Inter Beaujolais and Spain’s D.O. Montsant will make their debut in the respective country group exhibit.
ProWine China raising its profile with Chinese wine industry
As a member of Messe Düsseldorf’s “ProWein World”, the quality and quantity of international exhibitors at ProWine China is far higher than at other wine trade fairs on the Chinese mainland. Therefore the event is the ideal platform for Chinese trade visitors looking for comprehensive information about international wines and spirits. China has seen sharply rising interest in wines and spirits in recent years and ProWine China accordingly continues to gear its visitor acquisition activities. One focus is northern China, especially Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning and Jilin. A tour of city-specific promotions will start in August. Among the planned activities are master classes and themed dinners in more than 30 Chinese cities, including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Nanning, Kunming, Shenyang, Beijing, Qingdao, Xi’an, Chengdu, Changchun, Shijiazhuang, Tianjin, Urumqi and Hohhot.
