The exhibits by some 4,800 exhibitors from 50 nations at ProWein 2014, International Trade Fair Wines and Spirits, will be complemented by an extensive ancillary program, including the Tasting Zone and the FIZZZ Lounge with their new topics. ProWein will take place from March 23 – 25, 2014 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Organized in cooperation with the trade journal “Weinwirtschaft” (Meininger publishing house), the 2014 topic of the central Tasting Zone is “Premium Wines – Best Quality, Best Price”. The interesting part about this theme is that the producers themselves decide what constitutes a premium wine. The wines have to prove themselves on the market where the price/quality ratio plays a decisive role and whether consumers are convinced by this.
“Spirits meet Vegetables” theme in the FIZZZ Lounge
Every year, the FIZZZ Lounge highlights current bar trends with live demonstrations – and for the trade visitors to enjoy. At ProWein 2014, current world record holder in team cocktail-mixing, Thomas Weinberger from Barschule München, will present innovative “Garden Drinks” – combinations of spirits with fresh vegetable juices such as radish, beetroot, carrot and cucumber.
“Wine’s Best Friends” Move to New Hall
In addition, the special delicatessen show “wine’s best friends” with over 300 tasting sessions and seminars will take place during ProWein 2014. This year, “wine’s best friends” will be relocated closer to the North Entrance, to Hall 7.1, which is also home to the ProWein Forum – the central seminar area, featuring theme-related tasting sessions and lectures on markets and trends. Presented at the former location of “wine’s best friends” in the gallery in Hall 6 will be international suppliers of organic wines in the “World of Organic Wine”.
