Just in time for the inevitable New England winter, Revere Hotel Boston Common is bringing back its hot, holiday pop up shop for the season! Pop it Like it’s Hot, a gourmet hot chocolate pop-up shop, will return to the lobby of Revere Hotel every Friday for five weeks, beginning November 29 – December 27. Open between the hours of 3pm – 6pm, The pop-up will feature unique and exotic hot chocolate recipes created by Revere’s Executive Chef, Bader Ali. This year’s pop up will also feature some new twists, including rotating hot chocolate recipes from some of Boston’s best chefs featured each week. In addition to Chef Ali, guest chefs will include; Samuel Monsour of JM Curley, Jason Santos of Blue Inc., Abby Lane and the newly opened Back Bay Harry’s, as well as Chef Brian Poe of Poe’s Kitchen at the Rattlesnake, Estelle’s and Tip Tap Room.
Using hot cocoa mix from Boston’s bean-to-bar chocolate maker, Taza, Chef Ali and the roster of celebrity chefs will be serving up one-of-a-kind flavor creations to the likes of, Candy Cane Cream Pie, Nutella with homemade banana whipped cream, and Molten Chocolate hot cocoa, among others. In the spirit of holiday giving, the hot cocoa will be free of charge, with customers encouraged to “pay-what-you-want” with all donations going towards local nonprofit, The Home for Little Wanderers. Also new for this year will be an opportunity for guests to get a taste of sweet treats and Italian pastries from the famed Carlo’s Bakery, whose flagship bake shop is located in Hoboken, New Jersey and also the subject of the hit TLC show, Cake Boss.
