Pizza lovers across the Sunflower State have spoken: They want more Pie Five Pizza! And the trend-setting chain is happy to oblige.
On Friday, Oct. 10, Wichita will welcome its second Pie Five restaurant at 2755 Maize Rd, Suite 109, in New Market Square. It’s the fourth location in Kansas and the chain’s 26th restaurant nationwide.
Jim Stevens, local franchisee and proud Wichita native, is once again using his opening as an opportunity to raise funds for Our Daily Bread Food Pantry, which is run by the Catholic Charities, Inc. – Diocese of Wichita. He and his crew raised $2,150 for the charity in August during the opening of the city’s first Pie Five at 334 S. Ridge Road, and they hope to top that amount by donating 50 percent of proceeds from private training events taking place this week.
“I’m thrilled with how quickly the people of Wichita embraced our first Pie Five and I can’t wait to share our revolutionary approach to creating delicious, high quality, individualized pizzas with yet another part of the city,” said Stevens, owner of Big Cheese LLC. “We’re also committed to giving back to the local community through Our Daily Bread and look forward to supporting this wonderful organization for many years in many ways.”
With the opening of his second restaurant, Stevens also announced the launch of “Miracle Mondays,” in which five percent of proceeds from every Monday’s sales will be donated to the food pantry.
On Oct. 17, from 5-7 p.m., the new restaurant will throw its official grand opening party featuring merchandise and food giveaways and a check presentation to Our Daily Bread.
