Featured works include “The FAILE BÄST Deluxx Fluxx Arcade 2013 Miami Beach Presented by Perrier” and the opportunity to take home a limited-edition piece by neon-light sculptor Meryl Pataky
Perrier Sparkling Natural Mineral Water today announces an exciting line up of events and partnerships throughout Miami Art Week. The FAILE BÄST Deluxx Fluxx Arcade 2013 Miami Beach Presented by Perrieris a large-scale collaboration with acclaimed Brooklyn-based street art duo, FAILE. In addition to this centerpiece installation, art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to win a limited-edition neon light sculpture by artist Meryl Pataky, as part of the Perrier Collect Art Giveaway at Miami Project.
Deluxx Fluxx Miami Beach is an immersive art experience in the form of an interactive video arcade, complete with specially created and programmed video games, psychedelic foosball and pinball machines. The arcade installation will take over a vacant storefront on the corner of 16th Street and Washington Avenue and will be open to the public December 3rd-7th.
“Perrier is deeply committed to supporting contemporary and emerging artists, with a century-long legacy of groundbreaking collaborations,” said Priya Shenoy, Perrier Group Marketing Manager. “FAILE are true leaders in the urban contemporary art genre and we’re thrilled to bring the daring creativity and innovation of Deluxx Fluxx to Miami.”
The two artists behind FAILE are Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller. They debuted the Deluxx Fluxx Arcade, designed in partnership with fellow street artist BÄST, in London and New York in 2010. Now marking its third edition, The FAILE BÄST Deluxx Fluxx Arcade 2013 Miami Beach Presented by Perrier invites interaction, featuring newly-designed games, and is inspired by the colors and culture of Miami Beach. With this new installation, FAILE and BÄST once again aim to make art less sterile, more fun, and accessible to a broader audience, creating a space that is in the words of the artists, “a magical wonderland of weirdness and art.”
In addition to Deluxx Fluxx Miami Beach, another exclusive opportunity for contemporary art lovers is the Perrier Collect Art Giveaway at Miami Project. The giveaway offers the chance to win one of two original neon light sculptures by acclaimed artist, Meryl Pataky. The sculptures are part of a 20-piece installation titled, “Played Out,” which creatively examines the ubiquitous presence of both palm trees and neon light throughout Miami.
For a chance to win, participants can enter the giveaway in person at Miami Project between December 3rd and December 8th, or online through the Société Perrier Facebook page. For further details on the Perrier Collect Art Giveaway, visit http://societeperrier.com/collect-art-giveaway-rules/.
