Pernod Ricard USA, the premium spirits and wine company in the U.S., this week moved its headquarters to a prime location — 250 Park Avenue in Manhattan.
Bryan Fry, President and CEO, Pernod Ricard USA, said the move reflects the company’s growing presence and investment in the U.S. market. “The new office underscores our emergence as a vibrant company made up of premium brands and dynamic people,” Fry said. “And it brings us even closer to the excitement and trends in the on-premise, as well as the consumers we’re trying to reach.”
As other companies cut their workforces in recent years, Pernod Ricard USA added positions, based on the strength of such premium brands as Absolut Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Malibu Rum, Chivas Regal Scotch and The Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whisky, as well as Perrier Jouet Champagnes and Brancott wines. However, the company’s growth caused space constraints in its offices. Pernod Ricard now has relocated all employees from its previous Manhattan office – including executives from the Pernod Ricard Americas Region – to the new office, and also has relocated selected employees from Purchase, N.Y. to 250 Park Avenue (while retaining the Purchase office).
The new offices are designed to suggest the ambience of a distillery, with reclaimed wood ceilings and concrete corridors creating a warm, modern atmosphere. In addition to a sleek bar, the Pernod Ricard offices feature two striking exterior terraces with views of iconic Park Avenue skyscrapers. The office also is environmentally friendly, as demonstrated by its gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) status.
