PERFORMANCE Foodservice recently named its overall 2012 Supplier of
the Year along with six additional category winners in its annual awards program to recognize
supplier excellence. The seven winning organizations were selected from more than 3,000
suppliers and were recognized at the company’s annual awards meeting held this year in Palm
Springs, Calif. Company executives presented Leprino Foods Company of Denver, Colo., with the overall
Supplier of the Year Award. Leprino Foods took top honors based on the criteria used to evaluate
all award winners, including sales and case growth, gross profit, sales and marketing support,
supply chain strategies, product quality and food safety standards.
