Opus One Welcomes New Director of Hospitality

Opus One Winery CEO, Christopher Lynch, and Vice President of Communications and Guest Relations, Christopher Barefoot, announce the appointment of Hillary McGonigle as Director of Hospitality. Ms. McGonigle will be responsible for leading the Guest Relations, Culinary and Events teams, which includes delivery of consumer tasting experiences, winery visits, and private events.

Firm’s Strong Relationships with Investors, Manufacturers, and Advisors

Having most recently served as the Director of Hospitality then Senior Events Manager at Far Niente, Hillary managed over thirty employees, including the culinary team, and worked to expand the winery’s visitor offerings as visitation became more available to the public. Prior to coming to wine country, Hillary worked with the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, as an Associate Director of Catering. Hillary received her BA in Economics from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA and spent some of her undergraduate time at the London School of Economics.

Said Ms. McGonigle, “Opus One left an indelible impression on me the first time I visited in 1995. I was overwhelmed by the majestic property, world-class wine, and the unsurpassed level of hospitality. I am thrilled to join the Guest Relations team during this exciting time with the opening of the new Partners’ Room and the creation of Opus One’s premier culinary program.”
