Ocean Spray has been awarded the highest attainable Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification for excellence in manufacturing and distribution of its beverage products. This distinction follows the 2011 SQF certification earned for the manufacturing and distribution of dried cranberries. Ocean Spray’s dried cranberries are sold at retail to consumers under Ocean Spray’s Craisins® brand.
Now, Ocean Spray’s beverage manufacturing and distribution processes are also officially certified by NSF International to comply with global safety and quality measures. Consumers and retailers alike can be assured that the company’s products meet the highest possible standards. The company’s eight beverage and food manufacturing sites, located in Bordentown, NJ, Middleboro, MA, Kenosha, WI, Tomah, WI, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Sulphur Springs, TX, Henderson NV and Markham, WA are included in this recognition and have received SQF 2000 Code Level III certification to distinguish the company’s comprehensive beverage safety and quality management systems.
“We are pleased to receive SQF certification for all our production facilities, as the distinction solidifies Ocean Spray’s longtime commitment to safety and quality in all of our products, both food and beverage,” Geoff Woolford, Ph.D., Vice President of Research and Development at Ocean Spray said. “Through our most stringent quality control process, our goal is to remain a loyal partner to our customers, as well as a trusted quality brand to which consumers can continue to turn for generations.”
