The Menu
Showcasing the finest of Kentucky’s seasonal bounty and imported delicacies, Mileta’s menu features soulful, Italian-inspired fare with diverse touches. Curated by Executive Chef Alex Green, the menu is divided into shareable dishes for the table, salads, and raw bar offerings, as well as a dedicated in-house pasta program, entrees, and side dishes. Dish standouts include the Seafood Platter with Oysters, Tuna Crudo, Blue Crab Claws, and Yellowtail Crudo; House-Made Spaghetti with Littleneck Clams Poached in a Calabrian Chili Dashi, Smoked Pork Belly, and Lemon-Toasted Breadcrumbs; and NY Strip Steak with Potato Frico, Braised Radishes, and a Red Onion Jus. To finish the meal on a sweet note, guests can indulge in Budino with Sunflower Pudding, Banana Ganache, Sunflower Crunch, Salted Honey Whipped Cream, Lemon Tart with Pistachio Kunafa, Torched Meringue, Pistachio Cookie Crumble, Lemon Marmalade, and more. Complementing the restaurant’s evolving menu items, Mileta’s beverage program showcases seasonally rotating specialty cocktails, including a core list of curated libations, an extensive ice program, barrel-aged cocktails, and more. Beverage highlights include the LA Lady with Chile-Infused Vodka, Elderflower, Market Citrus and Topo Chico; Flying Private with Bulleit Rye, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, Lemon, and Prosecco-Limoncello Foam; and Raised and Confused with Castle & Key Gin, Strawberry-Infused Lillet, Blanc, Creole Shrub, Lemon, and Absinthe Rinse. In addition, Kentucky Bourbon, American and Japanese Whiskeys, Italian aperitifs, and amari, alongside a wide-reaching wine selection with roughly 50 to 70 labels of various Old and New World varietals, are also available.
The Space
Located at the Fayette Mall, the elegant interiors blend mid-century modern and bohemian elements, complemented with wood, natural stone, and brass accents, globe light fixtures, plush leather and velvet seating, and touches of subtle color and lush greenery throughout. With seating for up to 200 guests, the expansive dining room features a white marble-topped bar as the centerpiece, floor-to-ceiling windows, various booths, and an informal lounge area. Diners can observe Mileta’s kitchen in action through rattan walls from the main dining room. All the thoughtful art displayed is by renowned Lexington artists, including pieces from Spencer Reinhard and Patrick Smith. The concept also includes the “Pasta Room”, a glass-enclosed in-house pasta production area, which can accommodate ten to twelve guests to watch the process up close. Serving as a forthcoming cocktail lounge and private event space, the “Rose Room at Mileta” will be a concept within Mileta with special libation and dining menus. The intimate room boasts deep red accents, marbled tables, striking floor-to-ceiling decorative wallpaper on curved walls, and a corner bar, creating a moody yet inviting atmosphere for a unique, celebratory experience.
The Details
