NEW YORK RESTAURANT TO UNVEIL WORLD’S LARGEST WHISKEY INFUSED CORNED BEEF SANDWICH FOR ST. PATRICK’S DAY CELEBRATION
Irish food and drinks – an Irish bar in New York has introduced the “Toxic Stew,” a gut busting full pound of pure Irish corned beef, marinated for three days in Donegal Irish Whiskey and wrapped in Swiss cheese.
The tender Donegal Toxic Stew is the world’s largest whiskey infused corned beef sandwich and available only on St. Patrick’s Day at the Milleridge Inn 585 N Broadway, Jericho, NY 11753
Corned beef was long considered a luxury in Ireland during the early 1800’s. The popularity of the dish exploded during the turn of the century when Irish immigrants in American were able to cheaply get their hands on this once hard to find meal. Meanwhile, year after year Irish whiskey sales have grown faster than any other spirit in the United States, with St. Patrick’s Day being the most popular day to consume the traditional Irish spirit.
