ProWein Bolstering Infrastructure and Service Program
ProWein 2021, International Trade Fair for Wines and Spirits, will mark the premiere of a revised hall concept and other notable new conveniences for exhibitors and visitors. After a period of improvements to Messe Düsseldorf’s exhibition grounds, the new South Entrance and adjoining Exhibition Hall 1 are slated to open in autumn 2019 and will make their ProWein debuts at the trade fair to be held March 21 – 23, 2021. The trade fair will continue to be cultivated as a pure B2B platform and laid out in the tried-and true circular hall concept. Visitors starting at Exhibition Hall 1 can move on to Halls 4, 5 and 7.0 and from there on to Halls 9 to 17. An initial peek at the new concept is available at the ProWein home page (www.prowein.com/2021E). On the basis of an analysis of the space requirements of the exhibiting nations, the ProWein team will develop a detailed hall concept.
New Hall Layout for Highest Requirements
After six events using the current hall layout, ProWein 2021 will provide an expanded range of service and infrastructure features for exhibitors and visitors alike, making it an even more efficient B2B platform for all players in the international wine business. By integrating the newly created South Entrance and Hall 1, the leading trade fair will also benefit from one of the world’s most modern trade fair center architecture.
While ProWein will continue not to require the entire trade fair grounds’ capacity in Düsseldorf, the redesigned concept will still make use of the full range of infrastructure and services for participants. All entryways and exits will now be incorporated into the event’s foot traffic flow and integrated into the exhibition’s transportation plan. Next to Entrance North, an additional entree to ProWein will be the new South Entrance with a large foyer and the adjoining Hall 1. In addition, there is the new subterranean parking garage below the South Entrance and added above-ground lots for greater parking capacity, together totaling 500 new parking spots. The new hall concept will also significantly improve the build-up and tear-down processes for ProWein. With the state-of-the-art South Entrance and enhanced hall set-up, ProWein is entering a new era as the world’s leading trade fair for the wine and spirit industry.
