Naples Grande Beach Resort Appoints New Chef de Cuisine

Naples Grande Beach Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of Jose Garcia as Chef de Cuisine of The Catch of the Pelican.

As the new Chef de Cuisine, Garcia will oversee operations at The Catch of the Pelican at Naples Grande Beach Resort, a restaurant that celebrates the vibrant flavor of the Gulf Coast in a relaxed-yet-sophisticated setting. Specializing in fresh-from-the-Gulf seafood, steaks, and sandwiches, the restaurant’s coastal concept offers a unique, regional taste that is truly Florida. Garcia will oversee creative ideation and overall programming, as well as leading the cooking.

Specialized in classic French, Italian, Latin, and American cooking techniques, Garcia trained at Miami Art Institute before starting his professional culinary journey. Over the course of his 25 year culinary career, Garcia has refined his craft at multiple high-end kitchens such as Miami’s Biltmore Hotel, where he had the privilege to prepare meals for Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, and even former President George W. Bush. Following his time at the Biltmore, Garcia brought his passion for creating exceptional and memorable dining experiences for high-profile guests and locals alike to luxury golf clubs across Naples.

“I am honored to be joining the incredible team at The Catch of the Pelican as their Chef de Cuisine,” said Garcia. “I believe that food has the power to bring people together and look forward to sharing my culinary passion with the guests who travel from all around the world to Naples Grande Beach Resort.”

Originally hailing from Puerto Rico, Garcia is a proud parent of two who loves spending time with his family in Naples, Florida.
