The National Association of Care Catering (NACC) Executive Board today visited the new luxury care home, Arkall Manor, for an immersive experience lasting a full 24 hours.
The visit was to gain insight into a day in the life of a resident, and included three meals and snacks, wellbeing activities and an overnight stay in the care home.
Arkall Manor, Tamworth is the latest Home to open its doors in the Danforth Care Homes collection and is offering spacious en-suite rooms, accessible gardens and tastefully decorated communal rooms. Prior to receiving its CQC clearance, the Arkwell Manor team were keen to demonstrate the facilities that their residents will soon be enjoying.
This created a perfect opportunity of the NACC Executive Board to convene and enjoy a full 24-hour familiarity tour, whilst having the time together to discuss their own agenda.
NACC National Chair, Neel Radia said “The NACC and its Executive Board are keen to see firsthand the wonderful work our members are doing in the community. For the Executive board to experience directly what it feels like to be a resident in care setting is an invaluable opportunity, especially for those who are not regularly in a day-to-day care setting themselves.
“The menu and overall experience including sleeping in the care home has been incredible. Thank you to the team at Danforth Care for the warm welcome and hospitality.”
Max Andrews from Arkall Manor said “The doors will soon be opening to residents at Arkall Manor and so we were delighted to have welcomed the NACC Board to our new facility. We wanted to demonstrate that we can provide luxury living whilst still maintaining a family feel to the environment.”
