Glendale’s Westgate Tanger Outlet welcomes state’s first bakery café
Arizona’s crown jewel will say hello to a different world wonder this month, when Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip opens its first bakery café in Glendale on Tuesday, June 17.
Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip serves up freshly baked cookies, premium Nescafe Milano coffee, ice cream and a wide array of delectable treats. The Glendale location is first in the state of Arizona and the 130th café system-wide.
“We like to think that shopping goes hand-in-hand with sweet treats and a great cup of coffee,” said Shawnon Bellah, Senior Vice President of Global Operations for Nestlé Toll House Cafe. “Since our cafés have been so successful in states like Nevada, Texas and California, we’ve been looking forward to including Arizona in our westward expansion. I know it’s going to be a very popular addition to the city of Glendale.”
Surrounded by one-square-mile worth of restaurants and retail, the café offers comfortable seating, digital menus displayed on six LED screens, and an upgraded design that showcases the brand’s distinctive product offerings in a more efficient and attractive manner.
With so many options to choose from already at the outlet mall, General Manager Jack Cooper said he couldn’t wait to add a new attraction specifically designed to satisfy each shopper’s sweet tooth.
“When they notice our café for the first time, they are instantly going to be drawn in. After all, who doesn’t enjoy taking a refreshing break with a sweet treat and an iced coffee?” Cooper said. “We think we’ve created a comfortable setting for folks to escape from the hustle and bustle, and we’re so excited to finally be open and serving the shoppers here at Westgate Tanger Outlet.”
“The premium dessert destination concept is built around the world’s most powerful food brand – Nestlé. Along with its universally loved Nestlé Toll House cookies and cookie cakes, the new café serves brownies, muffins, smoothies, ice creams, cold drinks and Nescafé Milano coffee. The café is also a great lunch option, thanks to its made-to-order Crepes and Panini sandwiches.
The Westgate Tanger Outlet is located at 6800 N. 95th Ave, with the café situated in Suite 760. Café hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
