MILA Omakase continues to elevate itself as the highest standard of luxury within Miami’s culinary scene with an exclusive collaboration series in partnership with renowned Michelin Star Chef, Edson Yamashita, offered for a limited-time on Wednesday, December 6th and Thursday, December 7th during the highly anticipated Miami Art Week.
Opening its kitchen for a 10-seat dining experience, Chef Edson Yamashita, and MILA Omakase’s Chef Reiji Yoshizawa merge their culinary expertise to curate an unforgettable 14-course Omakase menu that promises to awaken the senses and leave an indelible impression on the palate. Patrons are invited to indulge in a premium selection of delicately composed nigiri and specialty Japanese – inspired dishes prepared using the most refined ingredients such as line-caught fish flown in daily, innovative vegetables and condiments, sea urchin from Hokkaido, sustainable bluefin tuna from Baja and Sanuki Olive Wagyu from Kagawa Prefecture in Japan.

Creating a transformative atmosphere, MILA Omakase features a massive overhanging cherry blossom tree, a Japanese craftsmanship-inspired wallpaper screen, a dramatic marble countertop, a 500-years old hinoki wood cutting board, and wall-mounted niches serving as members’ chopstick display, offering guests a glamorous private dining enclave to indulge in this artful medley of flavors.
A master in the art of Japanese cuisine, Chef Edson Yamashita began his culinary journey at the age of 15 when he joined the crew of Sushi Kan where he learned the philosophy of master Saramoto, a legendary icon of the Kampachi Sushi School. 17 years later, Chef Yamashita has been recognized by Michelin Guide and the Veja Comer e Beber ’Best Japanese Restaurant Award’.
