Manapany Annouces New Executive Chef

Hôtel Manapany is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Head Chef, Paul Bertheau, who will join the team in October after the summer closure.

A passionate cook from a young age, Paul Bertheau began his career at Eden Rock in Saint Barthélemy under the guidance of Jean-Claude Dufour. His culinary journey then took him to Saint Tropez, Courchevel, New Caledonia, and Australia, before he settled in Corsica, where he elevated Mediterranean cuisine by incorporating the island’s unique plants and culinary resources.

Bertheau’s travels and experiences have fueled his passion for fresh ingredients, exotic flavors, and refined creations. This new chapter at Hôtel Manapany, set in an idyllic beachfront location, allows him to continue celebrating the treasures of the ocean.

“I am thrilled to join the team at Hôtel Manapany and return to Saint Barthélemy,” says Paul Bertheau. “My goal is to create unforgettable culinary experiences that highlight local ingredients and seasonal produce. The island’s stunning natural beauty is a true source of inspiration, and I am eager to reflect its relaxed lifestyle in every dish I create.”

The reopening of the hotel in November will be an opportunity to discover Bertheau’s new culinary vision, centered on ingredient quality and creativity. The upcoming season promises exciting surprises at Hôtel Manapany.
