Main Event Entertainment Brings Its Unique ‘Eat. Bowl. Play.’ Experience to Jacksonville
City’s first center set to open Feb. 7
Jacksonville FUN seekers are in luck. Dallas-based Main Event Entertainment, the nation’s fastest-growing bowling-anchored dining and entertainment destination, is opening its first location in the area on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
The new world-class entertainment center, located at 10370 Philips Highway, will mark the second Main Event in Florida and the 32nd location system-wide. The almost 50,000 square-foot complex is the ideal place for groups to get together, share laughs and let their fun out.
The Jacksonville center, located in the previous Latitude 360 space, has been completely renovated and features elements of the brand’s newest design prototype that offers a rich, energetic and social experience for guests. The décor features a combination of natural and contemporary finishes that help create a fun and visually rich environment that is appealing to both young adults and families.
On Feb. 7, from 12-2 p.m., the center will host an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and representatives from Mayor Lenny Curry’s office, along with other local dignitaries.
In addition, a special VIP Opening and Big Game Pre-Party with special guest Travis Taylor, former star NFL receiver and graduate of Jacksonville’s Ribault High School, will be held at the center on Sunday, Feb. 5. The pre-opening event will feature a check presentation to leaders of the Greater Jacksonville Pop Warner.
The center features a state-of-the-art bowling experience with 22 ice-white lanes and multicolored LED lighting, laser tag, billiards, shuffleboard, more than 60 big-screen TVs and a games gallery featuring more than 100 of the latest interactive and virtual video games.
In addition to satisfying guests’ appetite for fun, Main Event offers an elevated culinary experience featuring innovative American fare and handcrafted cocktails in a high-energy bar and an Italian-inspired menu at LaBella’s.
“Main Event is truly a unique dining and entertainment experience that allows guests of all ages to enjoy great food, play an assortment of incredible games and engage in exhilarating activities,” said Main Event Entertainment CEO Charlie Keegan. “We are thrilled to open our doors and begin sharing our ‘Eat. Bowl. Play.’ experience with the Jacksonville community. We look forward to becoming a staple of the local entertainment and dining scene.”
The new center is bringing more than 150 jobs to the area. Hiring for new fun and outgoing team members is now underway. Interested candidates are encouraged to visit mainevent.com/careers.
