Recognizing that blogging has become an increasingly important marketing tool as individuals are turning more and more to digital resources for information and idea sharing, Produce Perspectives is joining the ranks of many other notable industry blogs. The blog’s focus will be sharing content on topics such as government policy and commodity price regulations that have a direct impact on the produce industry’s successes and mounting challenges. Sam’s passion for these issues will be highlighted in his weekly posts starting with his first two articles on government regulated healthcare and price regulations on Mexican grown tomatoes.
A 4th generation veteran of the fresh produce business, Sam Maglio took over his father’s Milwaukee, Wisconsin wholesale distribution business over 30 years ago and has led the company through 3 decades of supply chain regulation, industrial progress and consumer food trends. “Those who know me well know how passionate I am about our great industry. It has been the lifeblood of my family since the turn of the century and I enjoy coming to work every day actively seeking ways to improve the way we serve our customers,” said Sam. “This blog is simply an extensive of those efforts, sharing and gleaning from others information that I think will make us all better in the end.”
