LiDestri’s Bloody Mary Official Debut; The First Product of Its Kind in the Country
For the second year in a row, LiDestri Spirits’ ready-to-drink cocktails racked up numerous awards at the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America Convention & Exposition (WSWA). The annual event, now in its 71st year, attracts wine and spirits distributors and importers from around the world who convene to find new products, develop new business, and hear about trends from leading experts.
LiDestri’s mü, a coffeehouse-inspired creamy ready-to-drink cocktail and last year’s winner of the prestigious “Hot. New. Now. Media Award”, scored big during the 2014 Wine Tasting Competition by earning a Double Gold for its Coco Cappuccino flavor, while Vanilla Latte and Espresso Macchiato flavors both landed Silver medals. The wildly popular LiDestri’s Pink Limoncello, a favorite for its classic citrus aroma and sweet, bright finish, won a Gold medal for the second year in a row while LiDestri’s White Sangria inked a Silver medal for the second year.
Debuting at this year’s event was LiDestri’s Bloody Mary, which also earned a Silver medal in the Wine Tasting Competition. The first ready-to-drink Bloody Mary product of its kind in the country, LiDestri’s Bloody Mary is a wine-based libation sold with alcohol in it, making it much more desirable and consumer-friendly than the traditional alcohol-free mixes currently available in the U.S. To help get attendees excited about its newest product that is served in a trendy pouch, LiDestri enlisted in the help of Food Network star Emily Ellyn, who won a Silver medal in the Hoptails Mixology Competition for her “Pineapple Express Hats off to Ham Bloody Mary Brew” made with LiDestri’s Bloody Mary.
“We had no idea how our LiDestri Bloody Mary would be received; it’s been amazingly gratifying,” says Stefani LiDestri, CMO of LiDestri Spirits. “I give this one to my Dad. It was his idea, I simply brought it to life.”
Finally, in the Spirits Tasting Competition, LiDestri’s Tuttobello, intensely flavorful aperitifs, also saw Gold for its Amaretto featuring a proprietary blend of spices combined with the finest apricot oil and burnt sugar. Additionally, the Limoncello and Amaretto flavors each earned Silver medals.
“We’re thrilled at the reception and feedback we have been getting,” says LiDestri. “The wave we’re riding is such a rush and I feel like we’re just getting started.”

LiDestri’s Pink Limoncello is available in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Missouri, and Florida and will launch in Georgia in the coming weeks while mü is now available in New York and will also launch in Georgia and Florida this spring.
