Woodland Park Zoo has selected Levy as its official hospitality partner, crafting food and beverage menus and experiences across the venue. The two aim to make the zoo a showcase for Seattle’s renowned food and beverage scene, seasonal ingredients, and the eco-friendly preparation and food presentation that define the Pacific Northwest.
“We’re excited to deliver new dining experiences that reflect the incredible culinary heritage of the Pacific Northwest,” said Michele Smith, Chief Financial Officer of Woodland Park Zoo. “Levy shares our commitment to sustainability and collaborating with local culinary communities to create extraordinary experiences for our guests.”
“We live for opportunities like this, to work with a beloved cultural institution like Woodland Park Zoo that so profoundly impacts all who visit and helps define the Pacific Northwest,” said Andy Lansing, President and CEO of Levy. “The Woodland Park Zoo has staked its claim as one of the best and most innovative zoos in the world, and we’re looking forward to matching that passion by inspiring and empowering guests through entirely reimagined food and beverage experiences.”
Levy is well-known for making great food, beverage, and hospitality the centerpieces of iconic cultural events and destinations – from the food festival feel at the US Open tennis championship to high-end café dining at Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo and the Kansas City Zoo. Woodland Park Zoo members, guests, and visitors can expect more locally sourced products and purveyors at casual dining areas and kiosks across the grounds. Levy will also partner with celebrity chefs and acclaimed restaurants for special events like ZooTunes, and all facets of dining operations will reflect the zoo’s focus on green initiatives and sustainability. Curiology and E15, Levy’s design and technology and analytics companies, will collaborate on the look and feel of all hospitality spaces.
Woodland Park Zoo’s new dining and hospitality experience will begin in early 2019 and more details will be shared over the next few months.
