Popular French cafe and bakery, Le Cafe du Val, is currently undergoing a renovation that will nore than double its seating capacity and introduce a new wine bar. Since opening in 2020, the café (located at 1550 W. Horizon Ridge Pkwy.) has quickly become a bustling hub of activity for delicious food and camaraderie among neighborhood patrons both near and far. The café remains open with limited seating during its renovations, slated to be completed in mid-October.
Le Cafe du Val Renovates with Wine Bar Expansion
“We are so blessed to have been so quickly accepted and loved by our local community, but one thing they have asked us for is to expand this location! We’re thrilled to be able to almost double the seating and add our wine bar. In addition to the wine bar, we’re expanding our brunch menu and have some plans in store for select dinner service that will be very special to David and me,” said Carmen Barbur, owner of Le Cafe du Val.
The space will feature an extended booth along its former wall, a new section with high-boys, and an 8-seat wine bar serving beer, wine, champagne and limited cocktails. The café originally sat 30 guests, but by taking over the space next door, Le Cafe du Val will now seat 60 indoors and another 50 on its outdoor patio. The popular peacocks and magnolia, an homage to Carmen’s mother, will return with a new design on their interior walls.
Le Cafe du Val is known for its authentic French pastries in addition to its breakfast and lunch menu. It’s one of the few places in Southern Nevada to offer galettes, savory crepes made with buckwheat and served in a variety of ways including the La Campagnarde gallete featuring Paris ham, brie de meaux and caramelized onions. The restaurant’s Instagram-famous French Toast features thick cuts of brioche with a variety of filling options including its widely popular peanut butter and jelly option. The café also has an ongoing specialty menu that offers the likes of traditional Escargot de Bourgogne and Duck Rillettes, among others.
