LALIQUE is pleased to announce the opening of their third hotel, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, an exclusive hotel and restaurant in the Sauternes region of Bordeaux. Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is part of LALIQUE’s hospitality pillar of the lifestyle brand and will bring together wine, crystal and gastronomy, combining to serve art and the senses. Announced by Silvio Denz, Chairman of LALIQUE and David Bolzan, Managing Director of Vignobles Silvio Denz, this is the first time that a Premier Grand Cru Classe has opened a hotel and restaurant in Bordeaux.
This luxurious setting offers three suites and ten rooms, 13 in total. The decoration was entrusted to international interior designers, Lady Tina Green and Pietro Mingarelli, who created the LALIQUE Maison collection of Art Deco inspired furniture and home accessories. The designers created exclusive furniture pieces for the property. The Château has a lounge and bar that is interspersed with superb floral arrangements, LALIQUE crystal and a vast fireplace. Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey also has a chapel nestled discreetly at the heart of the property between two historic cellars, the perfect marriage of wine and spirit. The chapel displays the limited edition LALIQUE crystal work of art, ‘Eternal Belief’ that was created in collaboration with world-renowned artist Damien Hirst.
Jérôme Schilling, former Executive Chef at two star Michelin restaurant Villa René Lalique, has taken charge of the new restaurant at Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey. His exceptional gastronomic experience incorporates the wine making process into his cuisine. Head Sommelier Adrien Cascio who worked closely with Romain Iltis, Head Sommelier of Villa René Lalique, created a spectacular wine list of 2,500 wines. Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey’s four underground cellars are home to a collection of red and white wines, including a treasury of old vintages dating back as far as 1893, a heritage of 350,000 bottles which visitors can admire.
