Consumer demand for creative kale blends drives expansion
Taylor Farms Retail is once again expanding the company’s innovative Chopped Salad Line with a new “Kale Chopped Salad Kit.” The new “Kale Chopped Salad Kit” is a delicious mix of tender kale, shaved brussels sprouts, radicchio, Asiago cheese, herb crouton crumble, and savory lemon garlic vinaigrette.
The newest product in Taylor’s Chopped Salad Kit line is the result of extensive company research and input from consumers through the company’s website and social networks. The incredible demand for the line has also led Taylor Farms to expand the Chopped Salad Kit line into the single serve market. Four out of the six varieties of Taylor’s Chopped Salad Kits are now available in single serve kits; Asian with grilled chicken, slivered almonds and crispy rice noodles, Southwest with grilled chicken, pepitas and a four cheese Mexican blend, Italian with salami, turkey, olives, pepperoncini’s and Parmesan cheese and lastly the BBQ Ranch with grilled chicken, bacon and roasted corn.
“The feedback we’ve received from consumers via social media outlets has been fantastic. They are adding protein to our Chopped Salads and turning them into delicious entrees for their families. In our new single serve Chopped Salad line, we are adding the protein for them to address their eating occasions on the go,” stated Mark Campion, President of Taylor Farms Retail.

Featuring fresh produce varieties and tasty mix-in ingredients, Taylor Farms Chopped Salad Kits have rapidly become one of the company’s most popular salad offerings. In addition to the new Kale blend, Taylor Farms’ chopped varieties include Asian, BBQ Ranch, Garden Vegetable, Italian and Southwest.
