Madame Tussauds Las Vegas at the Venetian today unveiled a new wax figure of pop superstar Justin Bieber in celebration of his 22nd birthday Tuesday. The Biebs is shirtless and styled in black-and-gold attire with replica Day-Date gold Rolex, black Calvin Klein boxers and black leather pants. Twenty artists finished the new wax figure this month in a total of three months; the sculpture is worth approximately $350,000.
The figure, as Bieber in his current look, includes more than 50 tattoos, one of which is an image of singer-actress Selena Gomez that he had altered after their on-again-off-again-on-again split.
To commemorate Bieber’s 22nd birthday, “Cake Boss’s” “Next Great Baker” and Food & Beverage Magazine Editor Kaiulani Delgado created a custom 5-foot-tall, four-layer cake. A custom-gold edible zipper or gold chain to coordinate with Bieber’s pop superstar look partitions each tier of the cake.
Bieber’s current hit “Love Yourself” is the first No. 1 single of 2016 and follows his No. 1 smashes “What Do You Mean?” and “Sorry” from his latest album, “Purpose.”
Bieber recently broke a Billboard Hot 100 record previously held by The Beatles with 17 songs on the Hot 100, marking the most titles any artist has placed on the chart in a single week. Bieber joins an array of pop artists in wax at Madame Tussauds, including Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Madonna and Elvis. The attraction invites visitors to see, touch and take selfies with the Bieber but, the cake has already been eaten.
