New Menus Arrive At Kresios – Mercer Hotel Barcelona
Inspiring Cuisine Rooted in Tradition
Established at the Mercer Hotel in Barcelona since January, Chef Giuseppe Iannotti has created considerable buzz with locals and guests for his innovative menu at Kresios. His inspiring cuisine is rooted in the tradition of the Campania region of Italy, yet entirely forward thinking. Working with only the finest ingredients, Iannotti brings accolades from Italy including having been awarded a Michelin star at his restaurant Kresios Telese Terme since 2013.
“…a stellar chef, a clever menu and an elegant, low-key setting in an impressive building, ticks all the the right boxes for potential stardom…,” Supper Magazine.
The Chef’s offbeat attitude comes through in his three tasting menus – Mr. Black, Mr. Pink and Mr. White – whose names are inspired by the Tarantino movie – Reservoir Dogs. “I try to create dishes with a lot of adjectives, not a lot of ingredients,” says Iannotti. A new menu allows for a la carte options, but includes the ‘Snack da mangiare con le mani,’ a rather high level form of finger food before entrees are served.
The setting of Kresios at the Mercer is one that is steeped in history, yet entirely contemporary. The historic yet modern setting sets the perfect backdrop for your experience featuring artwork from the contemporary Catalan artist, Agusti Puig. Food is presented on specially designed Luesma & Vega crockery set on crisp white linen. Like the Mercer Hotel, Kresios is unpretentious yet elegant offering exceptional and intuitive service.
