Hotel Granada Announces the Appointment of Matthew Iacobucci as General Manager

Hotel Granada, the vibrant and meticulously renovated boutique hotel in Midtown Atlanta, has named Matthew Iacobucci as its new General Manager, bringing his deep expertise and passion for hospitality to one of the city’s most unique stays. With a career spanning work for some of the industry’s most renowned hotels, nightlife destinations and culinary destinations, Iacobucci steps into the role to lead the hotel’s operations, guest experiences, and community engagement with a fresh and dynamic approach.

A Cleveland native and The Ohio State University alum, Iacobucci’s hospitality career began behind the bar, where his love for service quickly evolved into a leadership path. His early roles at Shore Club, Delano, and Mondrian with Ian Schrager Hotels in Miami placed him at the forefront of trendsetting hospitality, where he helped shape iconic nightlife venues like Sky Bar and The Florida Room – the latter earning recognition as one of the Top Four Best High-Volume Cocktail Bars at Tales of the Cocktail.

Expanding his expertise beyond food and beverage, Iacobucci took on leadership roles at Viceroy Aspen/Snowmass, followed by a move to Aparium Hotel Group, where he led teams as Hotel Manager at Surety Hotel in Des Moines and General Manager at The Pontchartrain in New Orleans.

Now at Hotel Granada, Iacobucci is committed to blending the hotel’s historic charm with forward-thinking hospitality. “Midtown Atlanta is evolving, and Hotel Granada is right at the center of that energy, says Iacobucci. “I’m excited to build something truly special—not just for guests, but for the neighborhood as well.”

Beyond his professional career, Iacobucci is an avid snowboarder, scuba diver and former college hockey player. Off the clock, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife, Catalina, and their two children, Kiara and Kai.
