Hotel Erwin, the wonderfully weird and beautiful boutique hotel in Venice Beach, California today announced the appointment of charismatic leader, Jason Kushel, as the new General Manager of its famed High Rooftop Lounge.
Kushel comes to Hotel Erwin with more than 30 years of experience in the food, beverage and hospitality industries from around the globe. From New York City and Las Vegas to Miami and the Bahamas, Kushel has successfully managed hotel, restaurant and nightlife teams in leading hospitality and customer service, raising service standards coast to coast. While working as VIP Marketing Director at the Atlantis in the Bahamas, Kushel developed distinguished nightlife experiences by integrating the local culture into the nightly programming. During his time as General Manager at Arkadia at Miami Beach’s Fontainebleau Hotel, Kushel secured large-scale concerts including Tiesto, Roger Sanchez and Deadmau5. No stranger to the Venice Beach area, Kushel has previously served as General Manager for Makai Restaurant for the past three years.
Kushel’s experience developing unique programs for rooftop bars, lifestyle restaurants and oceanfront resorts makes him a strong asset to Venice Beach’s only rooftop bar. With a Master of Science in Education from Queens College in New York, Kushel seamlessly assumes leadership roles and excels in cultivating and managing bar and restaurant teams of any size. Kushel aims to enhance the already memorable and unmatched service that Hotel Erwin and High Rooftop Lounge provide guests. He is prepared to reach a new standard of excellence and embody the effortless Venice beach culture that’s long been infused into the hotel.
